How to Talk to Your Ex
Again
If you're wondering how to talk to your ex after a breakup, you should know that
there are certain things you must do - and some things that you shouldn't. This is
a critical time and you need to make the right moves if you ever want to get your
ex back.
Before I continue, I'm assuming that it has been some time since you talked to
your ex. If the breakup is still fresh (less than a few weeks), you may want to
consider giving it a little more time. If you are trying to force them to talk to
you and it's only been a few days, you need to give them plenty of room - actually,
if you can completely avoid him/her for a few days, all the better.
How to talk to your ex
Talking to your ex may seem a little strange at first, but it's something you'll
get used to in no time. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that things are
back to the way they were. That level of intimacy you enjoyed as a couple is gone
for the time being. Instead, you should treat them as you would any other
friend.
Needless to say, don't start telling them how much you miss them and that you
still love them. This is a sure way to scare them off. Besides, by not giving in
and telling them how you really feel, you are demonstrating a high level of
self-esteem and confidence – things that are needed to create real attraction down
the road.
In order to get to the point where you are both sitting down talking, you'll
have to either create your own opportunity or wait for fate to provide one for you.
Creating your own opportunity is a little risky, but there is nothing wrong with
phoning them just to see how things are going and asking them , in a conversational
way, if they want to meet up as friends for a coffee.
If you decide to wait on fate, there is a chance that you could bump into them
in public. While it will look more natural, you could be waiting a long time. Of
course, since you know their schedule, there is always a way you could arrange a
“chance” meeting by showing up somewhere where you are likely to run into them.
Your first meeting should be short. Don't prolong things - make it look as
though you have somewhere to be. Treat them as a friend. There is nothing wrong
with being witty, funny, or charming, as long as you don't get personal. In fact,
you really do want to be charming and show them what they are missing.
Treat him/her with respect and don't forget to smile.
If they start talking about the relationship, keep in mind that they may be
testing you. This is not a time to profess your undying love for them, even if they
start the ball rolling. You have a lot more to gain by being a little cool and
aloof. Don't allow yourself to be led down this path. Politely, change the
subject.
If you don't give in and you simply steer the conversation towards more
superficial topics like the weather, your job, or whatever - you will be showing a
great deal of self-esteem, self-control, and confidence. Ultimately, this is
exactly what you are going to need in order to create interest, attraction, and
desire.
So how do you get to the point where you can actually sit down and talk to your
ex? In a lot of cases, simply staying away won't do the trick. Here is a site that
shows you exactly what you need to know. Just follow this link.
